GA Rescue and Rehab (GRR) is a
rescue group established in 2008. GRR is a 501C3
registered non-profit organization, and has been licensed by
the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
GRR is a network of foster
homes in the East Atlanta/Athens area. Most of the
fosters are pulled from shelters in Rockdale, Newton,
and Morgan counties. We also pull dogs from high-kill
rural shelters in Georgia. GRR is an all-breed rescue. We do not discriminate, however certain breeds require
home visits both prior to and after adoption (Pits, Rottweilers, Dobermans, etc).
Occasionally, owner surrendered
pets will be accepted into the system, however the pet
must already be fully vetted (with current paperwork
made available). Owners who are willing to hold on to
their pets until a new home is found may list their pet
on our Courtesy Listing webpage.
GRR's adoption fee is dependent
on expenses incurred while the animal is in our
care--mostly vet work. Please understand that the
volunteers working with GRR are all unpaid. Please
be patient when waiting for an email response--our
volunteers all work full-time jobs and many also have
multiple fosters along with their own personal pets |
