Georgia Rescue and Rehab (GRR) is a non-profit 501C3 rescue group
established in 2008.
GRR does not have a
central shelter, instead our animals are housed in a network of
foster homes in the East Atlanta/Athens area. Most of the
fosters are pulled from shelters in Rockdale, Newton, Walton, and
Morgan counties. We also pull dogs from high-kill rural shelters in
Georgia. GRR is an all-breed rescue. We do not
discriminate, however certain breeds require home visits both prior
to and after adoption (Pits, Rottweilers, Dobermans, etc).
Occasionally, owner
surrendered pets will be accepted into the system, however the pet
must already be fully vetted (with current paperwork made
available). Owners who are willing to hold on to their pets
until a new home is found may list their pet on our Courtesy Listing
webpage.
GRR's adoption fee
is dependent on expenses incurred while the animal is in our
care--mostly vet work. All of our fosters receive
age-appropriate vaccinations and testing prior to adoption.
Pets over 5lbs at the time of adoption are spayed/neutered and
microchipped.
Adoption Fees:
Dogs $160
Adult Cats $85
Kittens $45
Please understand
that the volunteers working with GRR are all unpaid. Please be
patient when waiting for an email response--our volunteers all work
full-time jobs and many also have multiple fosters along with their
own personal pets.
